organizational changes
Nicholas Trainer, president of Sartomer Company, a division of TOTAL’s chemicals branch, has announced his retirement from the company. Luigi Colantuoni, vice president of TOTAL’s Atotech Far East, was named Trainer’s successor and will take over general management responsibility on Jan. 1. Trainer joined the company in 1969 as a technical sales representative, was named general manager in 1975 and was promoted to president the following year. Throughout his 30 years as head of Sartomer, Trainer steered the company through numerous acquisitions, sales and restructuring.
John A. Potts, senior vice president, business management, sales and marketing for Sartomer has announced that he will retire effective Jan. 1. During his 33 years with Sartomer, Potts was a key member of the management team.
In other company news, Sartomer has appointed Brian Contrisciane technical sales representative. Contrisciane will be responsible for developing and maintaining new and future accounts in the New England region and will report to Earl Emerson, eastern sales manager. He joined Sartomer in 2006 as a sales trainee.
